These photos are a pleasant surprise! Lots of great memories here. I was ahead of my time in fashion there. Well..at least we HAD socks...Always was fun to wear that hard hat (hunter's hat, reminded us of the tarzan movies)that camper had been everywhere. I think ut was a thrill to sleep in it, we were afraid that the bare butt bear of Clare County would get us! Those were really fun days, the best, absolutely. Glad my dad was in that shot, I sure miss him.

Just noticed in the pic in front of the tent, looks like you have that home made bow from the garage in your hand Steve. That was in the garage for years after this. Who made that? I thought it was Pat Mickle. Tom's stories about the camping was pretty accurate, exept the comments about my father looking like a dumb tourist with the way he dressed. Still another "writer's embellishment" that turns the piece into a left handed compliment/insult. Other than that, great stuff.

i believe you are right,on both counts, about the bow...damn,could probably do a series of posts about the garage, cept my memory is kinda hazy.maybe someone who has a fresher memory would care to write something(cough ahem coughcough)
