Really - 6 yrs. already, wow. Lots of good memories, pics and chats shared here, thanks Steve. And if a 6 turned out to be a 9 - I don't mind.

Well,on a Old 27 note...went to Mt. Pleasant casino and lost $ yesterday. Then to Clare. Nice weather and 86 degrees so a lot of people at the Dairy Phil. Also a lot at the golf course. There is a house for sale like kitty corner from the Green House. Just South of Beaverton Rd. Other side of Old 27 and 4th house down. It can be viewed at Peyton Properties. Like a Tri-level. Has the Sanford Creek in the back yard, the wider portion of the creek. I was thinking how cool that would be. So basically they are asking in the $120k range which makes payment $700 per mo. And yearly tax would be 1200 or 1300 a yr. Any takers? Also on Old 27 between clare and Mt. P, found Stevenson Lake where aunt Theo said Granpa Floyd used to go fishing in that boat we used to play on. Pretty big lake actually. No wonder he went there.

Also stopped in "Cops & Donuts" in Clare and Tammy went berserk and bought over a dozen donuts which we regretted on the way home. Was good but we don't usually eat like that. As I've said Mill End store has been sold now but no one is in there yet Also noticed the Park behind the VFW in Clare looks very nice, new playground and huge picnic shelter etc, on the water there. Very nice. Nice neighborhood back there too.

No comment on the doughnuts, hahahha. I'd settle for that house for sale if I could. Golf course is still up the road and I culd keep an eye on Grandma's house. That trilvele was probably built in the late 60's, not sure. For a long time there was nothing there on those properties just south of Beaverton Road on the eastc side. the old school house that was there is gone and a newer house is there in it's place, but the drinking pipe is still there and running.

6 years years of blog! Let's celebrate and get some doughnuts!

The info on that house said built in 1974. So 1 yr. after Steve's nfamous Mi. trip! No...No I didn't eat any donuts but I did fill out an application for the police Academy there. Well ok it was an Application to work at cops & donuts but it's almost the same thing. Hey in my defense Steve put a picture of cake on this page!

Well gang, yesterday I drive back up to Clare again as it only takes me an hour from here. I stopped at Maxwells flowers downtown and bought some silk flower wreaths. I knew people go up North for memorial day weekend so figured i'd beat the traffic. So I put one on (behind) grandma and grandpa Allen's site at Cherrygrove, then went over and put another one between Pat and uncle Vane's site. No one had put anything on either one last year so thought I would. Said a little prayer and talked to them and told them it was from all of us and we still love and miss them. I have 2 more wreaths for our mom & dad and Tammys mom and dad also but haven't put those out yet.I know the cemetery will put out American flags probably today as they always do.

Glad someone did. Theo can't anymore since she moved and got older. She used to all the time. There aren't many of us left. I used to go to those quite a bit but since I moved it's a lot farther away and hard to get there with all other of life's activities going on. I'm lucky I get up to Clare once a year. I'll stop 4th of July weekend as I'll be going to Traverse City area.
