I'm not entirely certain exactly when in the late summer we took our vacation.It was either before or after Cyndi's birthday ,aug 6. We left Kaiserslautern and headed east to Bavaria.Stopped and visited Garmisch,a Bavarian resort type place.Mom and Dad bought some souvenirs.We also visited Lake Eibsee,which is just 4-6 miles south of Garmisch .More souvenirs from there too

Then,southward thru Lictenstein on our way east to Switzerland , Zurich to be exact.We spent the night at hotel there.A stately looking (but prolly on the inexpensive side )old place.Had really narrow hallways,with the bathroom down the hall.I did not like that...at all.

in the big band I played trumpet in, we used to play Lictenstein Polka. The guy next to me used to call it "Lick my Steiner" Polka.
