great uncle everett,the sheriff

this would be my great uncle everett, grampas floyds' brother.

he was an inventor, a county sheriff,ran road construction

crews, all around "salt of the earth' kind of guy. and with him

is his incredibly annoying dog,who used to have to be "put away"

in a box when anybody came over.especially us kids.and he would

just stare at us through the slit in the box,growling if we would get

close to him. favorite personal memory of uncle everett was him trying

to get me to eat some spinach, giving me the "popeye eats it" routine

and everything. didn't work of course, but hey,he tried. mr.t sent me

some info about his exploits as county sheriff (guess he is just too

lazy to do it himself...hahaha ). i will post it later....
