left coast update...

rain...we are finally getting some rain.our normal annual rainfall is about 13.4 inches ( it is after all , semi-arid desert here )until this storm we had about 3.5 inches.now we have an additional .25 of an inch...woohoo ! which leaves us a little under 10 inches short for the year .of course,out here that means an increase in traffic accidents , as nobody seems to be able to remember how to drive in the wet stuff . so , rain = idiots on the road and traffic tie-ups . i mention this because later today i will be on the road right at friday afternoon rush-hour , and a trip that would normally take 30-40 minutes is likely to take an hour , maybe more , if there are no accidents . wish me luck...
