a picture of a young mr t ,along with his father ,
putting up christmas lights in '71. i've been
much busier than normal today , so i didn't get
anything ready to post tonight .so all there is
is this picture , and a quick rain update...we've had
.76 inches of rain where we are , and some areas in
the county had as much as 5.5 inches.now we are
getting a high pressure system that will mean increasing
temps , getting as high as 81 by wendsday . as i am fond
of saying...same as it ever was...

This photo reminds me of how my dad used to go all out at Christmas time. He just loved to put those lights up, as well as the tree, and used to make sure Christmas was great for all of us. Lots of gifts etc. Of course we always went to church. I'm grateful to him for making Christmas so wonderful for us. Anytime I get down, or get that holiday blah attitude, I think of how my dad really livened up Christmas and my attitude changes. Thanks dad!

Hey I'd be leaving something out about my dad at Christmas if I didn't mention this. Sometimes a month or so later he'd find a present he stashed somewhere & forgot about, and give it to us, hahaha. His humor as you know was something I don't want to leave out here either. Once he came home around Chrstmas and handed me a sheet of paper with the alphabet on it: ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ. Find the Christmas message...No "L". haha. Once he walked into the house with a miniture tree in a pot. like a branch, the tree had no leaves or anything except a shotgun shell hanging from it by a string. "What the hell is that?" we'd ask. "A cartridge in a bare tree....." Dad repled. Now if you can't imagine your uncle Paul doin something like that your just not tryin! Again, thanks for making us laugh so much dad!

your dad was one of the funniest people i was around growing up.he was always cracking jokes and pulling pranks.don't tell anyone but he was my favorite uncle, for that reason alone.also he seemed to relate to us kids better, and he would go out of his way to entertain us...he,just like all the rest of the family, are sorely missed.
