just heard from an old friend , pictured above .the reason i posted these pics is because in the
first one , he is playing the piano in a certain
living room in lansing , circa aug '73 . he was
the gentleman ( i use the term loosely ) i traveled
to mi with in '73...the one whose parents offered me
two hundred dollars to cut my hair before we left , afraid this
long haired hippy would get their boy in trouble . ha ha ha ,
i especially grew my hair out for that trip , having left
mi. four years earlier with a "princeton" haicut , and there was no
way i was going back there without my hair intact , and long .
the second pic he sent me thurs. taken a couple of months ago
i guess . ok , i see some of us have aged more gracefully
than others of us...someday i will write some posts that
chronicle our exploits from our wasted youth , including
that crosscountry trip from san diego to clare and back . it
was our adventure , and still one of the high points of my life .

Yes I remember Bill, we were just talking about him, and that photo. Interesting that you and Cyndi heard from him. His beard is like mine (same color too) but I hope to hell we don't do any before and after shots of me. I would love to hear of some of your exploits and the trip. That was of helluva drive wasn't it? Probably especially going back. Funny how you can start reconstructing the past with photos - every picture tells a story - don't it?
Bill looks like he is either a christian minister, a dentist, or he builds hot rods. Am I right?
well hopefully he can help me recall a few things...and i'll post some of those stories.we raised some hell and had some good times together over a 3 year period.as far as what he's doing,don't have a clue at the moment,but when i last spoke to him 15-16 years ago he was working for/as a phone physic so it's hard telling,hopefully he's upgraded career wise...
Believe it or not he had me do this quiz on how well i remember him and on it asked his special talents. and the answer was psychic and i didn't know what the heck he was talkin about. i'll be darned!
hahahahahahaha...i wonder if he knows what i'm thinking right now?and damn,i thought i had spelled phychic correctly...
Thank God. For the last week I've been wondering what the hell a phone physic was. I thought it was slang for Phone Co. " I am a lineman for the countyyyyy......"
hahahahahaha,yeah i can't believe i didn't catch that.oh well.....
