music...

you will notice that there is some music on the page now . at the bottom of the page there is now an mp3 player which starts automatically . i changed the page layout so that there will only be 2 posts on the front page (instead of 50 ). i did that so i could fit the player on the page . scroll down and check it out...the first 30 or so are a mixture of old 78"s from the basement at old 27 , and top/40 - popular songs from our youth . at the bottom of the list is a whole bunch of t.v. theme songs , 60's vintage . as you scroll down the list , all you need to do is click on a title and that title will start playing , otherwise they will all play one after the other . there are some control buttons on the player,stop/pause , backwards and foreword's . i would like to publicly thank my friend chris , the computor wiz/guru , for figuring all this out for me , and for hosting some of the mp3 files...thanx very much , chris ! and so , enjoy...

2 things.Just Trivia related, first I just heard Classical Gas on the satilitte radio 60's station and the guy said that Mason williams was actually a writer for the Smothers Brothers show. Then as I was channel surfing T.V. Davy Jones shows up struming an acoustic on the Sabrina teenage witch show there. Then I saw the old "honeymooners" on a Chicago station here. Just weird, as then is when I saw all your songs on here and listened to them. I usually tune in to the 50's -60's 70's on the radio to see what they are playing when driving. It's all good here, i like em all so thanks for the music-so happy togetherrrrrr....

Thank you Chris for your talents and efforts. This blog is a crazy fun project for all of us involved...you have no idea! Bunch of old cousins and friends trying to document our ancestors and our own history and memories in a fun way. And special thanks to Steve for making it all happen on his end. I can hear him banging on and swearing at his computer screen occasionally, all the way to Michigan, as he works tirelessly at the Old 27 blog.
(Actually I enjoy that thought the most because the mental picture I have of him doing that makes me laugh! It's like throwing pillows at the old black and white TV set when the picture rolls).

Seriously, the music addition is great and sets the mood. Hopefully I can add more 78's and special stuff from this end. This is what you do when you run out of stories or just plain can't remember anymore, hehehheh.
