Thanks very much....and it's a good thing i stand out from the crowd. Hey Steve i was wondering when i enlarged that pic, what building was over there across the street and behind the neighbors house there, do you remember what it was? Just curious. By the way perhaps Tom should be writing cards for Hallmark...
you are very very welcome, dan.i wish i could tell you in person.as far as the that building goes,i've enlarged it,and see it real clear...but i don't,as of right now remember.i'll let it percolate in the brain for awhile.
Tom said - On the day of the photo, perhaps Dan had eaten too much garlic and we were standing of away for safety. Even Steve is checking his underarm to make sure it isn't him, while Cyndi holds her breath, knowing it isn't her, and I cover my underarms tight in case it's me.
No- I could just never follow directions....nice black sockypoos there though.
Tom Said - It's a black and white photo! Those socks could be purple or pink, ya know! ....Oops....did I say that? wonder what that says on your T-shirt? Fort Ticonderoga maybe? We had justcome from there, it was 1966. We were sttoppomg on our way home from the North East - Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and New York State (including Niagra Falls). This was taken about a half hour or so before we left for home. Reg. 8mm film was taken at the same time. wish it was in color. This is so 60's, isn't it?
Sure is a different world now. All we had was TV (mostly still in black and white) with rabbit ears, radio, and dial/cord telephones. and unaided vivid imagination, play acting instead of f-ing video/computer games. Wouldn't it be weird to meet yourself at that age and find out what you were really like? Scary thought! Would explain a lot of things, eh?
I think I have talked to you recently at that same age...Anyway, your right. Funny you should say that about my t-shirt i was thinking it was that one because i do remember it. Would love to see that 8mm. Actually it would've looked stupid back then, to wear white socks-remember? Anyone wearing white socks we would make fun of..hahaha (party socks!)Hey Steve, thats the house where i remember that football helmet and also a plastic astronaut helmet we were messing with downstairs like we were blasting off, layin on our backs, haha. Although i think you said yu didn't remember the space helmet. Also remember your dad's uniform hangin on the door knob of bedroom and i thought it was cool, and he showed me how he could do pushups.
dad was always proud of his pushups,i couldn't do 'em for squat.or squats either at the time.
still don't recall the space helmet, but remember playing stuff like that when we were kids...
Tom Said: Hey! I remember that Space Helmet now! and blasting off. In vogue then, astronauts and all. The only push ups I liked doing were the cold orange ones from the ice cream man.
White socks? i must be an official 60's NERD now!...Hey! alright you guys! I HEARD that remark! Where's my wallet anyway!?
