Roma Olive Allen

Roma Olive Allen, age 92, of Clare, passed away on Sunday, May 17, at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines. She was born the daughter of William and Roma May (Six) Lavoie on March 19, 1917 in Kalkaska. She married Delmar Allen on June 24, 1939 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1990. Roma had lived in the Clare area since 1934 and was a member of the Clare County Historical Society. She enjoyed oil painting, making hooked rugs, woodcarving, gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Mrs. Allen is survived by her son, Dennis (Donna) Allen of Clare, her daughter, Maryln Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio, sisters, Betty Gegax of Winkleman, Az., and Dolly Ann Corder of Farwell. Also surviving are two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her brother and sisters, Lyle Lavoie, Ida Myer, Rena Dwyer, Violet Haring, and Dornalee Davis all preceded her in death.
