saturday magical mystery tour...

From sh_letters # 25

a little behind this afternoon . but this weeks offering is
pretty thin gruel , as the saying goes . i have no idea why
i became "the famous steve hoover" , or what the hell was up
with the scary pirate dude . but i see i was beginning my
hippy phase , what with all the "peace" written all over .
that subculture thing i suppose .the take-away phrase for me
this week is "oh well, thats life"...

Call it thin gruel if you will...but your mentioning again how we are accumulating music, instruments etc. yet we are miles apart and the references to the times (1969) mentioning Janis Joplin and Seeing Wilt chamberlin were quite interesting. Hendrix did indeed come out sometime then because I was just listening to a cd I bought last summer with really good tracks of him performing in SD.

hendix did his last concert/show here in san diego, before leaving for the isle of wight thing...and then the mofo od's.
there is a certain irony about the instrument thing.and then that leads to the "what if" scenarios, and mass wishfull thinking...

I was thinking the same thing, Dan, about Steve's comments about we get equipment after he moved away. hahah, it was never meant to be a group with cousins i guess. the fate's wouldn't allow it. Would it have been fun. and I would have liked to make Cyndi the lead Singer - you know - girl up front, well the band, hahaha. Like that group called "A Group Called Smith." (insert arguement here over group name: "A Group called Timlin, A Group called Hoover..oh boy!)

Seriously, you wonder sometimes about fate and why we were all cut off musically and otherwise. Had we stayed together, we might still be playing together, at least for laughs, occasionally.

I meant "sell the band" with a girl singer, noe "well" the band. Gotta wear go-go boots though...Cyndi has to wear them too. hahaha.
