66 years ago today...

the greatest land invasion in history took place on this day in 1944 . below
i have put up several links which will tell you pretty much everything you
may wish to find out about d-day . on a personal note , i'm fairly bummed
that the history channel has chosen to air "ice road truckers" as an all day
marathon instead of "band of brothers" as they have that last several years.
seems like sacrilege to me . at any rate , follow the links provided , and
the links at those pages to learn about the sacrifices the allies made that
day so long ago...

Wow. Amazing. And all I usually here from certain close relatives are things like; there is no reason to secure borders,no wars are ever justified, there is no such thing as terrorism, etc etc. And all of this usual military loathing conversations. So thanks for posting this Steve. These were truly dedicated, brave warriors who actually beleived in something.
