Thanks for the efforts guys. Funny, /nathan is the technician for the musical "South Pacific" at the high school. they are rehearsing every day and performances sart at the end of next week. In a way, on Veteran's Day, he is learning about his Grandpa Paul's esperience in WWII a little as the story takes place on an island in the Pacific occupied by the Navy Seabees and nurses and such. Not exactly what WWII was about but an avenue and opening to read more about it.
I think the bottom of that veterans memorial in Cherry Grove read, "Whoopie, we're all gonna die" but I'm not sure.
