Yes that was my dad using a Toro snowblower brought up from Lansing with the snowmobile, although once in awhile we'd leave the snowmobile in Gramm's garage. Smokey was a great dog, the only one we had, Scottish Terrier. He would come in the house and seemed to really like gramma and vice versa (this was before tinker the cat) We'd tie him to the rail on front porch and in the tradition of Mickles dog Sadie, he would bark like hell at any bigger trucks going by. Mom ran into that pine tree with the snowmobile once, hurt her knee a little. Remember there used to be a little broken down shack on the right side of the dirt road leading up to the barn in earlier years. I remember that green pickup truck Paul and Rose Nass used to go up and milk the cows in the morning. A few times they gave me a ride in the back of it on the way and I'd watch em milk the cows both by hand and with those auto hook ups later, it was utterly ridiculios! When either Rose, Olive or Dorothy would call Gramma in the A.M. it would almost blast me off the couch with the amplified ring. That field in the park across the street is now getting grown over with pines.
