Tom said - We miss her. She was our favorite aunt when we were kids. Of course, she had you guys, our same age group cousins and crazy playmates. One thing about your mother, she always showed an interest and curiosity in everybody, always asking questions to find out what you were up to in school or job or life, quick to laugh at your funny stories. And if you put those two sisters of hers and her together, it was non-stop chatter, so that's why the men went golfing! Hahahaha. You're mom was great and was sorry she and you ever moved to California. Where would we have been without her weekly letters to "home?" Nowhere, not a clue what's goin' on. And in her signature send off form virtually every letter: "Excuse the Mistakes." (I laugh as I hear the eerie but appropriate Rolling Stones recording "2,000 Light Years From Home" playing on the blog as I write this). We are all 2,000 Light Years From Home when you think about it. Yet every time I think about those who have gone on, (which is often) they are still right here in our hearts and heads. Feel lost? Just think of those like Joann and all the others and you're right back home.
